BECOME A BETTER DIVER. Once you become a PADI Open Water Diver (OWD), you are a safe diver.
Now it’s time to become a good diver. PADI’s continuing education courses will give you the skills necessary to be the best diver you can be.
The next step from OWD is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
This class includes five dives, each one concentrating on a different aspect of diving, and at the end we then do a free adventure dive of your choice.
These dives focus less on demonstrating skills, and more on practical exercises.
This course is about diving!
PREREQUISITES.
You will need to be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization) and be a
minimum age of 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver.
If you have not been diving for a while then we recommend that you take a quick scuba
review in the pool to refresh your diving skills and knowledge.
START THE ADVENTURE.
You will complete 6 adventure dives including a Deep Dive and a Navigation dive along with three dives from this list:
Drift Diving , Multilevel and Computer Diving , Night Diving , Peak Performance Buoyancy ,
Search and Recovery , AWARE Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist, Boat Diving, DPV, Underwater Photography and Wreck Diving.
You will also fill out the necessary knowledge reviews from the PADI Adventures in diving manual.
NOW THAT YOU’RE AN ADVANCED DIVER.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Certification will allow you to participate in diving activities with a maximum recommended depth limit of 30 meters.
The next step from here is the PADI Rescue Diver Course.
