When you enrol in a PADI Open Water Diver (OWD) course with Sunrise Diving, you are taking the first step towards a lifetime of underwater exploration.

As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you are able to dive with a buddy, independent of a professional, anywhere in the world.
If you have already tried the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience with Sunrise Diving,
or are PADI Scuba Diver certified we can accredit your experience towards the Open Water certification.
START THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, over 14 years old, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification.
If you are between 10 and 14 there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.
You will take part in theory training by using the PADI Open Water manual and table,
DVD and classroom sessions with your PADI Instructor to learn the basic theory behind diving.
There is also confined water training, which takes place in our swimming pool.
Here you will learn about scuba diving equipment and become familiar and comfortable under the water.
Finally, you will apply what you have learned in the theory and confined water sessions and complete a total of four open water ocean training dives,
to a maximum depth of 18 meters.
COMPLETE THE COURSE IN ONLY 3 DAYS.PADI programs are performance based, so you will proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills.
This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you, usually taking just 3 days.
NOW THAT YOU’RE A DIVER.The PADI Open Water Certification will allow you to participate in diving activities with a maximum recommended depth limit of 18 meters.
You will have the tools and skills you need to be a safe, confident diver.
While some divers remain at the Open Water level, most choose to develop their diving skills further with the Advanced Open Water course.
