PADI Open Water Diver →  PADI Divemaster.

 

 

Congratulations on making your first step towards becoming a professional PADI scuba diver.

 

To become a PADI divemaster you must first complete the following courses and requirements:

 

 

  

 

 

Duration: 3 days.

The first day begins around 8am, in one of our air conditioned classrooms.

Here you will spend the morning with your instructor watching a few short DVD's and covering the knowledge reviews at the end of the chapters of the open water manual.

After lunch (provided by us )we will then kit up and spend a few hours in the swimming pool practicing the motor skills outlined in the PADI confined water DVD's.

Your first day finishes after the pool session.

The remaining two days of your course we take you out to a beautiful breathtaking island of Racha Yai here you will complete your four open water training to a depth of 18m.

After this trip we return to Patong around 3.30pm on the final day and all that remains is for you to collect your certification card and maybe a celebratory beer.

 

 

 

 

Duration: 2 days.

The Advanced Open Water course is 2 days long and consists of 5 dives which will be Deep and Navigation which are the compulsory dives,

then Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist and Multi-level Computer diving. 

What is involved in the course is Knowledge Development which is completed by reading the relevant chapters in the Adventures in diving manual,

and completing the knowledge reviews. 

Your instructor will then elaborate on everything you have already learnt. 

The Open Water dives allow you to put it all together and perfect your scuba skills while gliding weightlessly over the coral reefs. 

All dives will be conducted in the beautiful tropical waters of the Andaman Sea.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A PADI Rescue Diver prerequisite is the Emergency First Response course. As one of the foremost international CPR and first aid training companies,

Emergency First Response gives you the confidence to respond to medical emergencies -- not just in the diving world, but in your every day world with your family,

friends, neighbours and co-workers too.

Emergency First Response courses encompass:

•    CPR for adults, children and infants
•    First aid for adults, children and infants
•    Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
•    The Emergency First Response Instructor and Instructor Trainer courses

 

Rescue Diver

Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course.

This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers.

Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and,

if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken. You'll cover:

•    Self-rescue and diver stress
•    Emergency management and equipment
•    Panicked diver response
•    In-water rescue breathing protocols
•    Egress (exits)
•    Dive accident scenarios
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program.

Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level.

PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study.

You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems.

You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises.

•    Knowledge Development: 12 topics ranging from dive theory to assisting student divers in training
•    Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization),

PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization), 20 logged dives, 18 years old.

•    Minimum Number of Logged Dives: 60 for certification as PADI Divemaster

PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by teaching you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

Divemaster duties are to: Work with local dive centres, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at exotic resort locations.

As a PADI Divemaster you will:
Assist PADI Instructors with scuba classes
Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers
Conduct Discover Local Diving orientations
Teach The Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Course after successfully completing a Digital Underwater Specialty Instructor Training Course.
Learn dive leadership skills through classroom sessions and by using the PADI Divemaster Manual and Video.

The Divemaster course requires you to;
Complete a series of waterskills and stamina exercises in confined and open water environments.
Three required training exercises that test organizational and problem solving abilities.
Mapping a dive site, including underwater and surface features
Equipment exchange: demonstrate the ability to solve unanticipated problems underwater
Conduct a simulated or actual class, under the supervision of a PADI Instructor
Internship or Practical Training Exercises (choose one)
Internship: hands-on experience supervising and assisting divers in actual PADI programs, under the guidance of a PADI Instructor
Practical Training Exercises: simulated scenarios in supervising and assisting divers, under the supervision of a PADI Instructor.
