The Prep course is a two-day study period in which you will review important aspects of the dive theory.

 

We will revise the five topics you studied in your Divemaster course namely physics, physiology,

the recreational dive planner, ERDP, equipment and skills & the environment.

 

We will also go over the 20 PADI basic skills in the swimming pool, to alow you to pratice.

 

Our course director and PADI IDC staff instructors will help you polish your skill demonstrations,

to insure that you will reach the highest standard of quality in order for you to teach your students once you become a PADI instructor.

 

Remember we want to get you through the IE but the training we give you will make you ready for the real world as a PADI instructor.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE PREPARATION.

 

As with all PADI courses completed paperwork within the IDC is another important requirement.

 

During the IDC Prep our course director and IDC staff instructors will over see all the paperwork that is required to start the course,

aswell as check all your diving certifications and medical examination.

 

The application requires information regarding all past courses. At Sunrise Diving we can check all your PADI certifictions online,

so there is no problem if you have lost any of your certification cards in the past.

 

However please can you bring any certifications that were not issued by PADI,

so we can make a copy of these to send with your final aplication for PADI instructor rating.

 

Bring your logbook for us to see that you have a minimum of 95 logged dives in order for you to attend the IDC.  

 

 

The IDC prep at Sunrise Diving is designed to ensure that our candidates feel comfortable and at home at the dive center.

 

The first day will be spent meeting our Course Director and our PADI IDC Staff Instructors as well as having a full introduction to our 5 star IDC center,

and local recompression chamber.

 

Having settled in at the dive center our Course Director will start your own individual tution program to suit your learning style for the following two days.

 

On the first evening there will be an evening meal at our local restaurant to welcome you to the Sunrise Diving IDC program.
